“Cole asks us to traverse into the beautiful unknown and question our notions of “otherness” ”

Gregory Uzelac, Faculty of Art & Design, University of Sydney.

JOANNA COLE is an Australian born visual artist based in New South Wales, Australia.

She paints the human condition through the lens of the landscape and cultural environmental motifs including the Eucalypts. A disciplined medative practice around themes of repetition and difference lead in a rhizomatic thought process bringing the work to a singular moment of clarity.

Joanna Cole is represented in NSW by Brenda Colahan Fine Arts.
